Possible reasons for high water usage

With our dry spring and with the stay at home order in April-May you may receive an unusually high 2^nd quarter water bill. Typically average water use is 4000-5000 gallons a month. Causes for high usage may include:
 

• Filling or topping off a swimming pool
• Watering the lawn, new grass/sod, trees and plantings
• More people at home during the day due to distant learning and working from home.

• Leaks in the home such as inside/outside faucets, toilets, and irrigation systems
• Water softener may malfunction, check that it is not stuck in the recharge cycle
