The Orono City code (Section 78-1476 (6)) prohibits placement of signs in the right-of-way. This regulation does not exempt signs advertising elections or election issues. City Staff periodically removes signs clearly placed in the right of way. These signs are placed in a metal box at the Public Works department (2700 Kelley Parkway) and may be retrieved.
