 MCES Lake Minnetonka Facility Plan

Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES), operator of the metro-area wastewater collection and treatment system, is developing a Facility Plan for the Lake Minnetonka service area. Projects included in this plan will serve communities within Hennepin and Carver County.

This map includes the project areas for Orono Interceptor 7113 Relocation Project, Orono Lift Stations L46 and L49 Improvements, Deephaven Lift Station L48 and Forcemain Project, Shorewood Lift Station L20 Project and Shorewood Lift Station L21 Project.</p><p>Orono Interceptor 7113 Relocation Project includes interceptors 7113 and 7113A. Crystal Bay, Smith By, Browns Bay, French Lake, Tanager Lake and County Roads 15, 51, 84 and 146 are within the project area. This project is north of Lafayette Bay and Lower Lake, south of U.S. Route 12, east of North Arm, Maxwell Bay and Stubbers Bay and west of Wayzata Bay,</p><p>Orono Lift Stations L46 and L49 Improvements includes interceptor 6-OR-641. West Arm, Crystal Bay and County Roads 15, 19 and 51 are within the project area. This project is north of Lake Minnetonka, south of Forest Lake, North Arm and Maxwell Bay, east of Seton Lake, Emerald Lake and Black Lake and west of Lafayette Bay.</p><p>Deephaven Lift Station L48 and Forcemain Project includes interceptors 6-DH-645 and 6-DH-645A. Carson Bay is within the project area. This project is located north of Minnesota State Highway 7, south of Lower Lake, east of Excelsior Bay and Saint Albans Bay and west of County Road 101.</p><p>Shorewood Lift Station L20 Project includes interceptors 7017-1 and 7017-2. Galpin Lake, Excelsior Bay and Minnesota State Highway 7 are within the project area. This are is located north of Harrison Lake, Lake Lucy, Lake Ann and Minnesota State Highway 5, south of Gideon Bay, east of Mary Lake and west of Christmas Lake, Silver Lake and Saint Albans Bay.</p><p>Shorewood Lift Station L21 Project includes interceptor 7019-A. Lake Virginia is within the project area. This project is located north of Minnesota State Highway 7, south of Upper Lake, east of Smithtown Bay and west of Lake Minnewashta.

 Printed versions are also available for the public to review at the following locations:

  • Orono City Hall, 2750 Kelley Pkwy., Orono
  • Shorewood City Hall, 5755 Country Club Rd., Shorewood
  • Excelsior Library, 337 Water St., Excelsior
